Recruitment
ΣAI is open to any undergrad student who is at least a second-semester freshman with a cumulative GPA minimum of 2.5. Prospective members must also have or currently be enrolled in at least one credit of college level music class (this includes ensembles as well as music appreciation classes). Our chapter is comprised of students with a sincere interest in music, regardless of major.
The Epsilon Pi chapter holds a recruitment period at the start of each semester. Interested students must attend at least one event where they will be able to meet the active chapter and learn about SAI membership. To be considered for membership, potential members must attend our invite-only Formal Recruitment at the end of the recruitment season.
Our chapter holds both a fall and spring recruitment season. Prospective members must have attended Truman for at least one semester before joining. While first-semester freshman are invited to attend fall recruitment events, these freshman are not allowed to formally pledge and become a member-in-training until the spring semester.
